Please call Kay for an intake interview at 217-679-7344. She is available to make appointments via phone 10:00 am -12:00 pm. After 12:30 pm, Kay sees clients during the hours of 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. If you leave a voice message, Kay will call you back before 12:00 pm the day of your call, or the next morning.
Kay does not return non-emergency phone calls after 8:00 pm, or before 10 am Monday through Thursday.
REGARDING EMAIL:
Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail accounts are not secure emails. HIPAA law states that mental health providers cannot email a non-secure email account due to “your email address is sold to companies”.

Kay is in-network with Health Alliance HMO, Blue Cross-BlueShield PPO, HMO Illinois, Blue Precision HMO, Blue Focus network, Blue Advantage HMO.
Kay is out of network with Health Link HMO (you pay 40% of approved fee); Out of Network with Tricare (certified Provider); out of network with United Healthcare; and Kay takes private pay clients.
Kay specializes in PTSD, traumatic stress, dissociation, Sandtray therapy (International Credentialed Sandtray Therapist, Registered Integrated Sandtray Therapist).
Kay uses the following therapies: Sandtray Therapy, Expressive Arts, Somatic Therapy (working with body memory),
Neurobiological -relational informed therapy, attachment therapy, trauma-focused CBT, CBT, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Play Therapy, Internal Family Systems, DBT, Grief Therapy, Mood Disorders, Addictive behavior, Chronic Pain, Anger, and Chronic Illness, and teaches clients how to co-regulate with others, and how to self-soothe self, and learn how to be self-compassionate, and have a relationship with oneself.
Kay uses a Polyvagal theory-informed approach. Kay works with client’s shame as well.
Kay works with kids as young as 5 -15, and she works with adults 21-120.
Kay mandates family therapy, and parent coaching when working with children or adolescents.
Kay assesses functioning with testing and assesses clients on a regular basis to monitor improvement to substantiate medical necessity for treatment.
Kay uses nature therapy with kids and Sandtray therapy.
